Hey there Sweet Spuds!
This page is for those harbouring the distressing buggers we call gallstones. Having previously experienced this painful condition, I appreciate what a challenge it can be to navigate the world of nutrition from a gallbladder-friendly perspecive.
Especially if you’ve been following a GAPS or paleo-style philosophy where animal fats are highly revered. Generally speaking, for those of us with ‘stoned’ gallbladders, animal fats – or products in general – don’t go down so well. At least this has been my personal experience.
The recipes below are designed to be gentle on the gallbladder, prevent gallstone attacks (i.e. not piss those stones off), all the whilst keeping the diet nutrient dense and inclusive of fats that are gallbladder-friendly. Think nuts, seeds, coconut and extra virgin olive oil. Of course, I can only go by my own experience and experimentation. I find that a mostly organic, 100% vegan diet is my personal gold standard of preventative therapy. These are the types of recipes you’ll find below.
